Isaiah 55:11 NKJV So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
1 Timothy 2:4 AMP Who wishes all men to be saved and [increasingly] to perceive and recognize and discern and know precisely and correctly the [divine] Truth.
I was visiting this evening with some friends and we were sharing with each other about being used to be a light to others. We shared some stories and were wrapping up the conversation pointing out the unique ways that God uses to connect with different people and get the Word into them. I uttered, "God has an avenue into every heart." After which I was really taken a back. I'm not really sure on first brush if that is absolutely correct, but it seems to me that it may be.
1 Timothy says that God wills that all might be saved. So if He wills it and He knows the plans that He has for us, that He has a way to connect with us at such a deep level that it could have a profound impact on us. Whether or not we choose is still up to us, but He has the way to connect with us.
For me, God used the vehicle of music to reach me. I kept getting drawn further and further into the study of what worship was all about until I realized that I was developing a relationship with Him. That was what He was most desiring from me. I was seeking excellence and sincerity in worship and at the end of the day found Him.
God loves every one of us and truly desires that all men to be saved. He has given His Word to be shared in both speech and action. We are the workers in the field and we must believe God's love for friends, family, co-workers, etc and be open to be used to shine a light.
