In All Things Be Led

Romans 8:14  NKJV  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

It has been a pretty contemplative day.  It is that time of year when amidst the hustle and bustle of preparations for family gatherings and gift giving, etc, I am tasked with looking ahead to 2012 for business planning purposes.  Likewise in recent years it has been a time when our family has taken some time to look at how to prioritize for the coming year.  Various projects, family trips and financial planning and the like.

Admittedly, it has gotten a bit easier when checking that inward witness.  As Dawn and I were discussing several things today about the coming year, we were able to prioritize and I find myself seeing God's kingdom plan a bit more clearly and what were are to do in the coming year as part of that.  I get a sense for our bandwidth as a family so that we are being good stewards of our time to spent time as a unit and time with Grandparents, cousins, etc. 

The same applies to my business planning for the coming year.  It is a sequence of prayer and time in the Word and meditating on the Word.  In prayer, I am asking God for His wisdom in my work and the directions I should seek in working with my team to have a plan of attack for my business. 

I remember when I first heard (with ears that hear) that I could be led by the Spirit of God - oh what a glorious thing that was to me.  I had always had a sense of destiny, but in my own strength and ability, I had no idea.  When you are led by the Spirit of Lord, He will take you there.  Where the Spirit of Lord is, there is liberty, FREEDOM!
